*Happy Parent Happy Child Talk by Sheila O Malley - Wednesday 9th November at 8:00pm

Following on from the hugely successful parent talk evening on the topic Happy Parent Happy Child  tips for a happier home held on Wednesday 9th November, the presenter Sheila O'Malley of Practical Parenting has kindly sent on some useful parenting tips:

*Transition from Primary to Post Primary Education Talk - 17th May at 8pm

A Talk on Transition from Primary to Post Primary Education was presented by the National Parents' Council (aimed at parents whose children are in 5th and 6th classes) in the School. Some useful links and recommended readings can be found on the Parents Page.

*St. Pius X Parents' Assocation Table Quiz - Friday 13th May at 8pm

The St. Pius PA held a Table Quiz in St Mary's Rugby Club on 13th May.  This event raised funds to be used for the benefit of both schools. The event was well supported by the parents and teachers of the school with 35 tables participating on the night.  We also wish to thank many other parents who could not attend but who made a financial contribution and/or donated a raffle prize. 

We would like to thank the following local businesses and organisations for supporting this event: St. Mary's Rugby Club, JD's Steakhouse (Terenure), Studio 44 (beside school), Microsoft Ireland (Interactive Entertainment Business), Reeves Restaurant & Grill (Templeogue Village), O'Brien's Wine, Beer and Spirits (Templeogue Village), Seven Days (beside school), Bellagio Restaurant (Terenure), Terenure College (donation of tables), Two Sisters Pub (Wainsfort) and Cripps Shoes (Terenure).    

We would also like to thank Niall Rynne - a parent from the school - who proved to be an excellent Quiz Master on the night!  After eight rounds of questions, a tie breaker round was required to determine the winning table. Congratulations to the Kings and McNamaras (parents from the BNS) on a great win!

 

*Heather Cup Commences! Monday 9th May to Friday 20th May

*St. Pius X Girl's School's New Yard Markings

Parents' Talk

Some parent's may have noticed the new yard markings in the girl's school. The funds presented by the Parent's Asociation on the 9th November were used to get these new markings which the children are loving. Click on the picture to view the markings.

 

*Cyber Bulling Talk by eSafety - Tuesday 12th April at 7:30pm

The Parents Association are holding a free talk for parents on Cyber Bullying. Cyber Bullying is an issue that has had to be dealt with on occasion in the schools and unfortunately it seems to be on the increase. The talk will last approx. 1hr 30 mins with a 30 minute Q& at the end.

*CAKE SALE, 18th February in the School Hall: Resounding Success!

Parents' Talk

The Parents' Association held a Cake Sale and coffee morning on Friday 18th February from 10am to 3pm to raise much needed funds for both the girls and boys schools.

The Cake Sale and Coffee Morning was a resounding success!!! The event raised Eur2,400 in funds to be used for the benefit of both schools. To read the Cake Sale Newsletter please click here
