We celebrated World Book Day on March 4th in a most authentic way. Its huge success was due largely to the creative genius of Ms. Helena Mullooly. The students were encouraged to pick a character from their favourite book and dress accordingly.
This captured the imagination of all. Characters as diverse as Anne Frank, Pippy Longstocking and Harry Potter graced the corridors. The day began with fun filled activities such as quizzes, mime and drama and finished on a calm note "DEAR" time i.e. Drop Everything And Read!
Ms. Mullooly, assisted by the class teachers, brought the best in children’s literature to life, we hope that this love of reading will stay with the girls for all time.
